what is the data used for?

According to the AVG, complementary energetic therapist Bianca Schmaal is responsible for the processing of personal data that takes place in practice. The client data is processed in a proper and careful manner and only used for the purposes for which it was or will be collected. Data may be collected during consultations, treatments or otherwise. We comply with the obligations arising from this as follows:

  • The use of your data is used for the following purposes:
  • To keep your file.
  • To schedule an appointment.
  • To keep track of the preferences you have indicated.
  • To provide outlines of the consultation and (electronically) answer your questions via ZIVVER.
  • To prepare an invoice.
  • To monitor your own quality.
  • For scientific research, if anonymous.
  • Performing other services requested by you.
  • Inform you which of your personal data is processed. This can be done by the therapist, but also via a folder and of course also via this website.
  • Everyone who works within Bianca Schmaal's practice is obliged to treat your personal data confidentially.
  • Data will only be processed if one of the following conditions is met:
  • If you have given permission for this (orally or in writing.
  • It is necessary for the provision of good complementary care discipline energetic therapy.

Bianca Schmaal takes security measures to limit misuse of and unauthorized access to personal data. Statistics are kept on the website, this is done completely anonymized at all times. When sending a web form, your IP address is stated.


Camera surveillance

To protect the property and safety of clients and employees, Bianca Schmaal uses visible camera surveillance. Camera surveillance is held on the entrance and window side of the practice. There is no camera surveillance inside the rooms. A symbol near the camera indicates the presence of surveillance cameras.


Below you will find information about what is done with the recordings, how long it is stored, what rights you have and how you can exercise them.


use and exchange of camera data

In the event of incidents or suspicions of criminal offenses that Bianca Schmaal or a client wishes to report to the police, the video images can be used to identify those involved. The images can be made available to the police for this purpose in support of a report of a criminal offence. The camera images will not be shared with other third parties, unless there is a (legal) obligation to do so.


We do not use facial recognition or other methods that identify individuals electronically. Also, no sound recordings are made.


security and storage of personal data

The camera images are stored within the Netherlands. The security of the video images is in line with the applicable legal requirements and guidelines. Access to the images is strictly regulated. The video images will be kept for a maximum of four weeks, or in the event of an incident, until the incident has been resolved.


(retention period) file

For (care) files, the retention period is in principle 20 years (from the last treatment), unless longer storage is necessary. This is at the discretion of the therapist.

You have the right:

  • to know whether and which of your personal data is processed.
  • on inspection and a copy of that data (insofar as the privacy of another person is not harmed as a result). A fee of € 0.05 per page will be charged for a copy.
  • to correction, addition or deletion of data if necessary.
  • to request (partial) destruction of your medical data. This can only be met if the retention of the data for someone else is not of significant importance and the data should not be kept on the basis of a statutory regulation.
  • on adding your own statement to your file.
  • to object to the processing of your data in certain cases.

If you want to make use of your rights, you can make this known to Bianca Schmaal verbally or by means of an application form. Your interests can also be represented by a representative (such as a written representative, your curator or mentor).

To guarantee privacy, no telephone will be answered during a consultation. Do you have an emergency and do you call the mobile number? Then Bianca Schmaal will immediately let you know whether it is possible at that time to discuss privacy-sensitive information. The display of the mobile is also shielded, so that your telephone number, message, etc. is not visible to third parties.

information on flipchart | outline consultation

During a consultation it is possible that Bianca Schmaal uses a flip chart to clarify things. Bianca Schmaal also uses this to work out the main points of the consultation. The main points will be emailed to you via ZIVVER. To guarantee your privacy, the paper is of course destroyed by a paper shredder. It is also possible to take the paper with you. Bianca Schmaal will then inquire whether she is allowed to take a photo, to work out the outlines that will be emailed to you. After processing the data, she immediately removes the photo from her phone. Outline of a consultation will only be drawn up and emailed upon request.

provision of your personal data to third parties

Bianca Schmaal has the obligation to treat your personal data confidentially. However, there are some exceptions to this rule. The therapist's duty of confidentiality can be breached on the basis of a statutory regulation, but also when there is a fear of a serious danger to your health or that of a third party.

exchange data

In principle, Bianca Schmaal does not exchange direct data with (general) doctor / (co-) practitioner(s), only at your explicit request. This is done by a transfer information letter. This will be handed to you personally.

third party websites

This privacy statement does not apply to websites of third parties that are connected to this website by means of links. Bianca Schmaal cannot guarantee that these third parties handle your personal data in a reliable or secure manner. We recommend that you read the privacy statement of these websites before using these websites.
